Admin drop-in has been designed to provide currently registered Student Accessibility Services (SAS) students quicker and easier access to their counsellors to address administrative tasks such as:
• Get signatures on forms
• Submit documentation
• Problem-solve time sensitive issues (test and exam accommodations, extensions, petitions or other issues)
• Request clarification about academic accommodations, processes, and policies
• Pick up letters, forms, and information about events and resources
• Discuss referrals to see a peer mentor, learning strategist, adaptive technologist or Library Accessibility Services
Admin Drop-in will take place Monday–Friday from 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm. Each counsellor will see a maximum of 3 students for “drop-in”. Spots will be assigned on a first come, first served basis. Students are welcome to check-in at N110 Bennett Centre starting at 12:45pm to request a drop-in appointment (requests for drop-in must be made in person and will not be considered before 12:45pm). After checking-in, we ask that all students remain in N110 Bennett until asked upstairs by a counsellor.
All drop-in appointments will be a maximum of 15 minutes in length. Students will not be seen before 1:00pm for drop-in and these appointments will not extend beyond 2:00pm (the final drop-in appointments on any given day will start at 1:40pm - students who arrive after this time will not be seen).
We urge students to consider carefully whether or not their request/issue can be addressed/resolved within 15 minutes (refer to the administrative criteria listed above).
